Polperro | Mornington Peninsula

Established in 2009 by winemaker Sam Coverdale and Emma Phillips, Polperro has quickly become one of the Mornington Peninsula's benchmark producers of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Based in Red Hill, the estate is built around a simple philosophy: great wines are grown in the vineyard. Today, Sam and his team farm eight vineyard sites across the Peninsula, with five exceptional sites dedicated to the acclaimed Single Vineyard range, each expressing a distinct combination of altitude, aspect and soil.
Farming sits at the heart of everything Polperro does. The vineyards are managed using regenerative, organic and biodynamic practices, with the Talland Hill vineyard certified organic and biodynamic since 2019. In the winery, intervention is deliberately restrained, allowing each site to speak clearly through wines of purity, balance and precision that capture the maritime influence and cool-climate character of the Mornington Peninsula.
The 2024 Single Vineyard collection is a compelling reminder of why Polperro has become one of Australia's most respected names for cool-climate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Each wine is a true reflection of its individual vineyard, offering remarkable transparency, elegance and a genuine sense of place.
