Franco is L.A.S Vino’s expression of Cabernet Franc, sourced from a vineyard in Karridale south of Witchcliffe and strongly influenced by both the Indian and Southern Oceans. The 25-year-old vines grow in gravelly loam soils and naturally produce very low yields.

The fruit was hand picked, destemmed and fermented naturally as whole berries over twenty days in open fermenters before being lightly pressed into large-format oak for maturation. The restrained winemaking approach allows the purity of the site and variety to shine through.

The resulting wine is medium-bodied, floral and finely detailed, showcasing Cabernet Franc in a fresh and elegant style with lifted aromatics and subtle savoury complexity.
