'Ateo' is the estate's interpretation of a classic Bordeaux-inspired blend, combining Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grown alongside the Brunello vineyards of Castelnuovo dell'Abate. The grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel and glass-lined concrete vats before ageing in small French oak barrels, producing a wine that balances international varieties with unmistakable Tuscan character. The bouquet combines blackcurrant, ripe plum and cassis with notes of cedar, tobacco and sweet spice. Full-bodied and polished, the palate offers generous fruit, fine-grained tannins and excellent balance, making it equally appealing in its youth or after several years in the cellar.
