Yeringberg’s Cabernet blend is a flagship wine from the historic de Pury family estate, one of the Yarra Valley’s most revered producers. Grown on low-yielding vines in a cool-climate region, the vineyard produces intensely flavoured fruit across five classic Bordeaux varieties. The 2022 vintage is a true field blend—63% Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc—hand-picked, fermented in small open tanks, and aged for 21 months in French oak (40% new). The result is an elegant, mid-weight wine with aromas of blackcurrant, violet, liquorice and graphite, and a palate layered with blue and black fruits, tapenade and fine tannins. Understated and precise, this is a beautifully balanced wine with great ageing potential.
