The Other Wine Co. Savagnin No.4 is one of the more unique and compelling wines in the range, inspired by the oxidative, flor-aged wines of France’s Jura region, yet interpreted through a distinctly Australian lens. Matured under flor in old oak for up to 48 months, the wine is saline, savoury and deeply textural, showing notes of blanched almond, green apple, preserved lemon, walnut and sea spray. Despite the complexity, there’s a freshness and drinkability that keeps the wine incredibly moreish. A small but mighty wine that sits somewhere between Jura, Fino Sherry and modern Australian creativity.
