The 'Rippon' is the flagship wine from this historic biodynamic estate perched above Lake Wānaka, offering a pure and eloquent expression of place through old-vine Pinot. Grown on schist-rich soils at the meeting point of ancient glacial moraines and coarse gravels, Rippon’s north-facing escarpment is one of Central Otago’s most iconic sites. The 2020 vintage draws from all fully developed Pinot vines on the property and was crafted with minimal intervention and Demeter-certified biodynamic practices. Aromatics of plum, al dente strawberry, and cantaloupe unfold into layers of cranberry, graphite, black tea, and briny minerality, framed by silty tannins and fine, balanced acidity.
