In the hills of Belval-sous-Châtillon, the Faivre family has cultivated Meunier for eight generations. At Domaine R. Faivre, this grape is not simply part of the vineyard; it represents the estate's identity. Today, Nicolas Faivre continues this lineage, with Meunier representing nearly 80% of the domaine's plantings. 

The vineyards are farmed with a regenerative and sustainable philosophy: no herbicides or insecticides, meticulous manual trellising, and rigorous pruning to keep yields naturally balanced. Each parcel is treated as its own ecosystem and vinified separately, revealing the subtle interplay between Belval's chalk and clay-limestone soils.

In the cellar, each parcel is also pressed and fermented individually before blending, preserving the distinct character of each plot. This parcel-driven approach allows Faivre to craft a wide range of Champagnes, from pure expressions of Meunier to blends that bring Pinot Noir and Chardonnay into elegant balance.
