Description

Querce Bettina is a small, family-run estate situated on the southwestern slopes of Montalcino, an area known for producing Brunellos of elegance and depth. The vineyards, planted at altitude and surrounded by oak forests, benefit from cooler breezes and mineral-rich soils, resulting in Sangiovese of precision and aromatic complexity. Winemaking follows a traditional path, with fermentation in stainless steel and extended ageing in large Slavonian oak casks, allowing the fruit and terroir to speak clearly.

The 2013 vintage is a refined expression of Brunello, marked by balance and finesse. Aromas of dried cherry, red currant, rose petals, and tobacco unfold alongside hints of wild herbs and subtle spice. The palate is taut yet harmonious, with bright acidity, polished tannins, and a lingering finish that layers savoury depth with red fruit purity. Still youthful in energy, it will continue to develop gracefully for many years.

Querce Bettina has built its reputation on artisanal care and low-intervention practices, producing limited quantities that remain highly sought after by collectors and lovers of classically styled Brunello.
