Located in the north-west of Chablis, in the village of Maligny, the Laroche family estate is now run by Pierrick Laroche, who took over from his father, the founder of the estate in the 1970s. Over time, his father gradually acquired planting rights and expanded the vineyard holdings, which now cover approximately 25 hectares. Pierrick produced his first vintage in 2010 to critical acclaim, having previously sold the grapes to La Chablisienne.

Trained in oenology at Beaune, Pierrick gained international experience through various internships before returning home to manage the family vineyards. The estate’s cellars, built into a hillside in Maligny, allow much of the work to be done by gravity. Vinifications are carried out classically in stainless steel, with some Premier and Grand Cru wines partially aged in used barrels and undergoing full malolactic fermentation.

The estate has nearly 12 hectares planted in Chablis, predominantly in Maligny, with 1 hectare in the Fontenay valley near the Grand Crus. There are eight parcels classified as Chablis, with vines averaging 30 years of age. The 2023 vintage continues the estate’s tradition of producing exceptional wines from this fine terroir.
