Petrichor Pinot Noir is a small-batch, low-intervention expression crafted primarily from a single vineyard in Tea Tree, Coal River Valley, with a touch of biodynamic fruit from the home block. Grown on gravelly volcanic soils, the 20-year-old vines were handpicked at perfect balance, capturing the essence of this cool-climate site. Fermentation included 20% whole bunches, wild yeasts, basket pressing, and ageing in old oak for 11 months on lees before bottling unfined and unfiltered. The wine is vibrant and detailed, showing red fruits, rhubarb, sour cherry and spice, with bright acid and fine tannins. Delicate yet structured, it's built for both early charm and mid-term cellaring.
