A more serious and age-worthy Pinot Noir, showing aromatic lift and layered complexity. Fermented using a mix of whole bunch (up to approximately 25%) and destemmed fruit, the wine opens with red cherry, cranberry and floral notes, underpinned by subtle brown spice and savoury elements. The palate is finely structured, with tight, fine-grained tannins, bright acidity and excellent length. Maturation in French oak (including a portion of new oak) adds depth and texture without overwhelming the fruit, resulting in a poised, elegant and long-lived Central Otago Pinot Noir.
