Paralian’s 2022 Springs Hill Vineyard Shiraz is a single-vineyard expression from Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale, crafted by a team with deep familiarity and reverence for this site. Sourced from two dry-grown Shiraz blocks planted in 1975 and 1998 on sand and ironstone soils, the vineyard sits between 195–210m and is certified by Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. The fruit was hand-picked, wild-fermented in old wax-lined concrete vats with 10–20% whole bunch, then matured on lees in French oak (14% new) for 10 months. The resulting wine is a concentrated, brooding style with blue and black fruits, baking spice, graphite, and crushed stone aromas, underpinned by earthy, savoury notes and finely tuned tannins. A powerful, tightly coiled Shiraz with real ageing potential.
