From the biodynamic Summit Vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, Erinn Klein’s Ngeringa Pinot Noir is a vibrant and finely structured single-site expression from one of the region’s pioneers. Grown at 330–360m on east-facing slopes of sandy loam, clay, and ironstone, the vineyard benefits from morning sun and cooler afternoons, ideal for preserving delicacy and detail. Handpicked fruit was mostly destemmed, with just 5% whole bunches and gentle extraction by hand and foot over two to three weeks, followed by 12 months in 30% new French oak. The wine opens with bright red berries, orange zest and herbal spice, layered with cacao, sandalwood and fine earthy tannins. It's a precise and quietly complex Pinot that speaks clearly of site, season and sensitive farming.
