This Pinot is sourced from the young vines on the Mayer family’s home block, the aptly named Bloody Hill, a steep slope that tests the legs but delivers fruit of exceptional lift and energy.

Rivar Ferguson-Mayer takes the reins on this vintage, dialling back on whole bunches to emphasise brightness and immediate appeal over the wild, savoury character typical of his father’s style. The fruit was mostly destemmed, wild fermented, and aged for six months in old oak.

The result is a light, juicy Pinot bursting with red cherry, cranberry, and gentle spice. Fresh and effortless, it’s made for drinking now. Pure, unadulterated Pinot expressing the distinctive Yarra soils.
