Description
Château de l'Aumérade, established over 400 years ago, is a family-owned estate in Provence, France. In 1932, Henri Fabre and his wife, Charlotte, purchased the château, becoming pioneers in bottling and founding Côtes de Provence wines. They were honored with the title of Cru Classé in 1955, a distinction held by only 18 estates in Provence. Charlotte Fabre designed the iconic bottle for the Marie-Christine cuvée in 1956, inspired by a vase from artist Émile Gallé. Today, their daughter, Marie-Christine Fabre-Grimaldi, and her husband, Vincent, continue the family tradition, overseeing the estate's operations.
The 2022 Marie Christine by l'Aumerade Côtes de Provence Rosé is a blend of Cinsault, Grenache, and Syrah. It presents a pale pink hue with aromas of grapefruit, peach, and apricot. The palate is fruit-forward and full-bodied, with a hint of spice, balanced by refreshing acidity and a long finish.
