Le Calendre is a family-run estate in the foothills of San Pietro in Cariano, at the heart of Valpolicella Classica, now led by the fifth generation. The 4-hectare vineyards are farmed organically with minimal intervention, reflecting the family’s commitment to preserving the region’s ancient winemaking traditions. The estate’s name, Le Calendre, honours a centuries-old method of recording and forecasting the weather to guide vineyard and cellar work—a heritage passed down through generations.

This wine is a blend of 60% Corvina and Corvinone, 30% Rondinella, and 10% Molinara and other varieties. The nose is immediately captivating, with sweet aromas of cherry and raspberry, accented by hints of violet and pepper. On the palate, pure fruitiness and intense concentration are complemented by subtle oak, fine tannins, and a fragrant character. Elegant yet expressive, this Valpolicella pairs beautifully with charcuterie, red meats, and classic Italian dishes, offering both charm and presence in every glass.
