Harvested on 15 September from a single parcel of 100-year-old bush vines, this Fleurie was fermented with 30% whole bunches and underwent a 20-day maceration with gentle pump-overs and foot pigeage. The wine was matured in a combination of older 500-litre barrels, tank and Clayver, before being bottled later than usual to allow full development. Classically Fleurie in style, it offers lifted floral aromas, crunchy red fruits, rose petals and subtle spice. Fresh acidity and fine tannins provide structure while maintaining approachability. Jane describes the wine as more accessible than the 2022, with a subtle barrel-derived finesse reminiscent of Pinot Noir. Bill Nanson praised its concentration, perfume and persistent finish, noting that while slightly more structured than previous vintages, it remains thoroughly delicious.
