Produced from 100% Nebbiolo grown in the sandy soils of the Roero district, Gioso Langhe Nebbiolo offers a more approachable expression of Piedmont's noble grape while retaining the structure and character for which Nebbiolo is renowned. The vineyards sit at approximately 330 metres above sea level on steep, south-facing slopes, where the combination of elevation and well-drained soils promotes aromatic intensity and balanced ripening.

Following harvest, the fruit is destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at approximately 28°C. Natural malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel before the wine is matured for nine months in large Slavonian oak casks. The wine then spends a short period in tank and a minimum of three months in bottle prior to release. This traditional ageing regime softens Nebbiolo's tannins while preserving varietal purity and freshness.

Langhe Nebbiolo occupies a unique position within Piedmont, often delivering greater accessibility in its youth than Barolo or Barbaresco while maintaining the grape's hallmark acidity, structure and capacity to evolve. The sandy soils of Roero contribute a more lifted and elegant profile, with finer tannins and earlier approachability than many examples from the Langhe's marl-rich vineyards.

The wine displays classic Nebbiolo characteristics of red cherry, violet and subtle spice, supported by bright acidity and finely textured tannins. Medium-bodied yet structured, it offers impressive complexity and persistence while remaining approachable in its youth, making it an ideal introduction to the Nebbiolo grape and the wines of Piedmont.
