Halliday's Pinot Noir of the Year. Inspired by the Applejack eucalypts surrounding the vineyard, planted at Gladysdale in 1997 by Ray Guerin. The vineyard features seven clones: 114, 115, MV6, D2V5, D5V15, Pommard, and Abel. Fermentation includes 40% whole bunches, with 20–25% of the wine matured in new French barriques. The 2022 vintage follows a stellar 2021 with confidence, offering an exotic, aromatic, and pure bouquet of wild strawberries, dark cherries, quince, spice, and floral notes. Dense yet buoyant, it fills the palate while maintaining lightness, with seamless tannins completing a wine that sets yet another benchmark for excellence.
