Domaine Vacheron’s Sancerre 2023 is a striking white wine from one of the region’s most revered biodynamic estates, led by cousins Jean-Laurent and Jean-Dominique Vacheron. With some of the most coveted parcels in the appellation, the domaine practices rigorous biodynamic farming, harvesting exclusively by hand, and fertilising only with compost. This cuvée is a blend of parcels planted on flint (45%), limestone (45%) and marl (10%), vinified in tank to preserve purity and terroir expression. Aromas of flinty sparks, thyme, grapefruit pith, green apple and gooseberry lead into a luminous, textured palate layered with lime, wet stone and herbs. The finish is mouth-watering and mineral-laced, with a refreshing saline lift. A refined and delicious introduction to one of Sancerre’s elite producers.
