Jo Pithon founded his renowned domaine in 1978, building on his family’s winemaking roots in Anjou. A true pioneer, he helped elevate both the appellation and the wider Loire Valley to international acclaim. His early commitment to dry white wines, organic viticulture, indigenous yeasts, and minimal intervention set new standards long before such practices became common.

Working closely with a small group of biodynamic growers—one dedicated to Grololo and another to Mozaik Blanc—Pithon crafts wines of purity and soul. This fully organic red displays a deep hue and expressive flavours of black fruits, leather, and earth. The palate is silky and harmonious, offering impressive balance and depth.
