Domaine la Bouïssiere was founded by Antonin Faravel and is now run by his sons, crafting elegant, high-altitude wines from the rugged slopes beneath the Dentelles de Montmirail. Their Gigondas comes from northwest-facing vineyards between 300–500m on ancient scree and Valanginian clay, yielding cooler, more mineral wines than the valley floor. The wine is 75% Grenache and 25% Syrah, mostly whole cluster, fermented naturally and aged in foudre and tank to preserve freshness and structure. It’s vibrant, juicy and perfumed with wild garrigue, showing red fruits, spice and a fine mineral backbone with beautifully integrated tannins. An alpine expression of Gigondas that ages with grace.
