Named after the site’s rugged limestone terrain, “Les Duresses” consistently produces one of the domaine’s best wines. Steep slopes and poor stony soils bring dark cherry, spice and earthy savouriness with plenty of mineral tension underneath. Hand harvested fruit is mostly destemmed, though small portions of whole bunch are used depending on the vintage, before gentle extraction and élevage in mostly seasoned barrels.
