Fresh, precise and beautifully saline, La Mer is a classic, ocean-influenced Muscadet with real energy and finesse. Chiselled citrus fruit, lemon zest and green apple sit alongside a defining iodine and sea-spray character, giving the wine a moreish, textured palate that recalls top Chablis in its purity and line. Textural without richness, it finishes crisp, salty and exceptionally refreshing, with outstanding balance and clarity.

Domaine de la Fessardière is located in Vallet, the heartland of Muscadet, just a short distance from the Atlantic Ocean. Organically certified since 1997, the estate farms schist-based soils and works exclusively with hand-harvested Melon de Bourgogne, fermented spontaneously and aged on lees to capture a precise expression of site. A superb example of modern Muscadet, and a reminder of why these wines once held a place on France’s greatest wine lists.
