Description

This Langhe Nebbiolo represents the classic, lighter style once common in the Roero, youthful, unadorned by oak, and shaped by the region’s characteristically sandy soils. These soils lend the wine a finer frame and beautifully lifted aromatics rather than the broader structure found further south in the Langhe.

Fermentation begins with an eight-day maceration in cement, with minimal pump-overs to keep extraction gentle. The wine then completes fermentation and ages entirely in cement, preserving purity and freshness.

The producer is a tiny, with the family farming two small parcels, Bric in Priocca and San Michele in Govone, both sitting around 250 metres in altitude and totalling just under one hectare. Nebbiolo has long been co-planted with Barbera and Dolcetto here, as was once common, though each variety is still harvested and vinified separately.
