Ashton Hills has long been a benchmark for Adelaide Hills Pinot Noir, thanks to the pioneering work of founder Stephen George and the estate's high-altitude vineyards in the Piccadilly Valley. 

The 2025 Piccadilly Valley Pinot Noir captures the elegance and vibrancy that have become synonymous with the Ashton Hills style. Sourced from a blend of estate-managed vineyards and like-minded growers throughout the cool-climate Piccadilly Valley, the wine combines diverse vineyard expression with the fine tannin structure and purity that define the region.

The 2025 vintage was one of the earliest on record in the Adelaide Hills, driven by a warm finish to winter and consistently dry conditions through the growing season. These conditions delivered beautifully ripe fruit with excellent concentration and freshness, harvested in late February rather than the more typical early April window.

Aromatically, the wine is bright and expressive, with lifted notes of red cherry, wild strawberry and raspberry compote flowing from the glass. Delicate floral tones and a subtle green pepper spice, derived from whole bunch fermentation, add further complexity and intrigue.

The palate is supple, energetic and finely detailed, layered with flavours of strawberry, dark cherry and plum. Fresh natural acidity and silky, fine-grained tannins provide structure and length, while subtle earthy undertones weave through the juicy fruit profile, bringing added depth and savoury complexity. Elegant yet approachable, this is a beautifully balanced Pinot Noir that speaks clearly of both site and season.
