Domaine Santa Duc, founded in 1874 and based in Gigondas, is one of the region’s leading estates, renowned for crafting wines of power and finesse. Now guided by Benjamin Gras, the sixth generation of the family, the domaine farms its vineyards organically and biodynamically, with a deep respect for the varied terroirs of Gigondas. Aux Lieux-Dits is a blend drawn from multiple parcels spread across the appellation, each with distinctive soils of limestone, clay, and alluvial stones, giving a broad and complete picture of Gigondas terroir.

The 2021 vintage is built on freshness and balance. The wine opens with aromas of blackberry, blueberry, and black cherry, interwoven with notes of garrigue herbs, violet, pepper, and subtle mineral tones. On the palate, it is supple yet structured, showing juicy dark fruit framed by fine tannins and lifted acidity. Layers of spice, licorice, and earth carry into a long, savoury finish. The blend typically leans on Grenache, supported by Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault, vinified with minimal intervention and aged in large oak foudres to preserve purity and complexity.

Aux Lieux-Dits reflects both the tradition of Gigondas and the modern precision of Santa Duc. It is an authentic and ageworthy Rhône red: generous in youth, but with the depth and structure to evolve beautifully over 10–15 years.
