Following hand harvesting, the wine is fermented and matured in oak barrels for approximately ten months before bottling and spending around three years on lees. Finished with an Extra Brut dosage of approximately 3 g\/L, annual production was 942 bottles.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"1099\"\u003eThe 2020 vintage is a wonderfully pure expression of Verzenay Pinot Noir. Aromas of wild strawberry, red apple, blood orange and rose petals emerge from the glass, complemented by subtle notes of spice, smoke and freshly baked brioche. The palate is precise and tightly coiled, with impressive tension, fine chalky minerality and a long, saline finish.
